Transforming challenging landscapes into dream spaces
We took on an erosion control project on top of Bull Run Mountain, where the customer had struggled for 20 years to grow grass. They had a playground for their two small children, a trampoline, and a metal AG building on a challenging 30° slope with significant runoff. We removed surface rock, graded the area, added a topsoil/compost blend, fertilized, and applied seed, covering it with 9-foot wide, 100-foot long organic straw blankets. After packing it down with a water roller and overseeding/fertilizing for two weeks, they now have a large, lush green yard in the woods on the side of the mountain for the first time ever.
